350 Is The Upper Limit
"If humanity wishes to preserve a planet similar to that on which civilization developed and to which life on earth is adapted... CO2 will need to be reduced from its current 385 ppm to at most 350 ppm."

State Forces Vaccinations Using Police and Attack Dogs

Search Google and you will find lots written about forced vaccinations in Prince George’s County, Maryland. This would be no big deal, really, except there is no law in Maryland requiring parents to vaccinate their children. Prince George’s county officials decided to team up with the department of health and force these kids to get their shots, threatening the parents with jail time if they did not comply. You can read about it at Newstarget.com.

In my mind, this story isn’t about the vaccinations. It looks like that is what everybody is focusing on, kicking up fluff all over the place about “Big Pharma”. To me, this is more about one more step we are gingerly taking into the wonderful political structure of losing our most basic rights. It makes me wonder about our future. Remember, there are no laws in Maryland requiring parents to submit their children to these vaccinations. Parents are free to choose what’s best for their families. That’s the law. And to me, that’s what this is about.

I guess that don’t matter much up there in Prince G’s county, just east of Washington, DC. What do you think about it?

  1. That’s scary. More scary is the fact that “Big Pharma” isn’t looking at ways to make the vaccinations safer to begin with, so that more parents will want to vaccinate. What happens when, eventually, everyone decides not to? What kind of diseases will our grandchildren and great-grandchildren face because pharmaceutical companies refuse to come up with safer vaccinations?

  2. What scares me is that the government is using police to force these people to do something when there is NO LAW to back it up. No Law to back it up. No Law to back it up.
And yet, here are the police. Here are the attack dogs. Where is the law?

  3. I agree about the “no law to back it up” thing. I also agree about safer vaccinations. However, I do believe in them myself…although we have not entirely eradicated diseases like polio and whooping cough, they have been almost unheard of in the USA for a long, long time…see this link: http://www.cloudnet.com/~edrbsass/poliotimeline.htm

It is, however, scary and as Jon says, “the government is using police to force these people to do something when there is NO LAW to back it up.” We need to keep an eye on this sort of thing in the future and voice our opinions about such tactics.

  4. Agreed 100% about the dogs and cops. I’m looking more at the “Why does the government feel the need to go this far?” part of it. Another of the “hurt one to save a hundred” mentality, most likely. But this is going too far, for sure. As with most things, education is key.

BTW, we may have eradicated many diseases, but there are “new” ones cropping up every day (see also: MRSA, kids with VD – wow, who says VD anymore?? showing my age…).
