They actually told y'all that in the Air Force?? Wow. I guess they thought it would keep all you guys from drinking & hooking up with loose women & tattoos. ;)

I'm glad you're still around to correct - it's one of my favorite past-times. ~hehe~ j/k ;)

Thank you Donna! Maybe I'll be getting some work done in the next few weeks...

Melinda:
Argh, I stand corrected. My statement on the inability to metabolize alcohol comes from a program I went through just before I got out of the US Air Force.

From intox.com:

Metabolism involves a number of processes, one of which is referred to as oxidation. Through oxidation in the liver, alcohol is detoxified and removed from the blood, preventing the alcohol from accumulating and destroying cells and organs. A minute amount of alcohol escapes metabolism and is excreted unchanged in the breath, in the sweat and in urine. Until all the alcohol consumed has been metabolized, it is distributed throughout the body, affecting the brain and other tissues.

Like I have always said: Information, especially that from the government, should always be suspected of being false.

Thanks for correcting me.

Sorry I pushed you to see the Evil Doctor ;) But I'm glad you're feeling better! I'm glad you're alive - hopefully for a long time! Love you!

(btw, most alcohol metabolizes in the liver but the liver can only process so much at one time - that's why you get drunker the more you drink - and run the risk of alcohol poisoning - overloading the rest of the cells/organs with unmetabolized alcohol before the liver can process it).

Regardless, that stuff you were drinking - probably doesn't fit this profile anyway. ~shudder~ 180-proof???

I'm glad to know you're alive. I haven't been able to talk with my little birdie to find out how you were. I will admit you had me very worried. I looked every day to see if you had updated wordout and my heart would drop when you didn't and raise when you did. I hope you continue to do whatever it takes to make you feel better. The world is a better place with you in it.
